Class label: CRF sector (IPCC 2006): pipeline transport

Definition:
The CRF sector (IPCC 2006) 'pipeline transport' is a transport sector defined by the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories: Combustion related emissions from the operation of pump stations and maintenance of pipelines. Transport via pipelines includes transport of gases liquids, slurry and other commodities via pipelines. Distribution of natural or manufactured gas, water or steam from the distributor to final users is excluded and should be reported in 1 A 1 c ii or 1 A 4 a.
