The CRF sector (IPCC 2006) 'fuel combustion' is a sector defined by the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories: Emissions from the intentional oxidation of materials within an apparatus that is designed to raise heat and provide it either as heat or as mechanical work to a process or for use away from the apparatus.
